Special Education Transportation

Special Education transportation for any child on an IEP must be initiated through a TEAM process.  Special Education transportation is recommended by the TEAM and is stated under the transportation section of the IEP.  A Transportation emergency form is sent home and completed by the parents and returned to the Pupil Services Office.  The Burlington Public Schools contracts with three transportation companies.

Once it is determined your child is to receive special education transportation, the driver will contact you to inform you of the pick up and drop off time.  If your child is ill and will not be attending school, please contact the bus company which provides the transportation.
