Pupil Services ~ Restraint Policy

 

The Burlington Public School System provides yearly training to staff on Restraint Policies and Procedures, including de-escalation techniques, in order to comply with 603 CMR 46.00 and other state and federal laws and with the Massachusetts Department of Education regulations relative to the physical restraint of students.  In addition, through the Merrimack Education Center (MEC), the Burlington Public Schools provides in-depth training to staff members from each school in accordance with Restraint Policies and Procedures.
