Pupil Services ~ Attendance

The Attendance Monitor and the Supervisor of Attendance work together. In the Pupil Services Office, Debbie Miller is the Attendance Monitor. The Attendance Monitor reviews the attendance of students on a daily basis. She investigates the attendance of students who display a pattern of unexcused absences. The Attendance Monitor will work with the parent/guardian to assist the student with attendance. If a student is truant, the Attendance Monitor may take a student to school. The Attendance Monitor reviews with the Supervisor of Attendance all cases that involve a persistent pattern of unexcused absences.

The Burlington Public Schools are committed to working with parents and guardians to ensure your student's consistent school attendance, which is the cornerstone to a successful school year.
