Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Burlington Police have requested the following morning student drop-off procedure at the Marshall Simonds. No cars will be permitted entry into the Winn Street loop for student drop-off. The only student drop-off areas will be those on the Peach Orchard side and the Locust Street driveway area.

The following information is for those of you who normally dropped your child off in the front loop.

PEACH ORCHARD SIDE

Enter from the east -end only and drop off along the sidewalk only. Do not let students get out on the left (non- sidewalk) side. All traffic should exit out the west -end. The west -end of the loop is the one closer to the Winn Street intersection. Do not back out of the area.

LOCUST STREET AREA

Area A If you wish to drop off and then exit back down to Locust Street, pull into the sidewalk area along the fence on the left side as you are coming up the driveway. After dropping off your child, you should back up and proceed back down to Locust Street.

AREA B If you wish to drop off and then exit out to Winn Street, drive further up the driveway and pull into the sidewalk area opposite the three basketball nets. After dropping off your child, you should back up and proceed into the Winn Street loop, take an immediate right, and proceed out to Winn Street.

There is no dropping off of students on the right side of the driveway, while you are waiting to turn in or in the small driveway that goes to the gym.

Thank you for your cooperation to these changes. Be patient when waiting to drop off. On an average day over 160 cars bring students to Marshall Simonds. Have a great Thanksgiving!
