Please Call...

If your child is ill or will not be attending school on a particular day, please call Laura and leave a message on our answering machine. If your child is transported by bus, it is your responsibility to call the bus company, so that they do not make an unnecessary trip to your home. This should help you avoid a trip out to the bus in your bathrobe.

Keep Our Children Safe

As the good weather returns, we want to remind parents to observe our safety rules when dropping off children in the morning. Children are NEVER to be let out of a car unless it is parked. Always be sure to hold your child's hand as they get out of the car until they are on the sidewalk, safely "handed off" to a teacher. If you have more than one child to drop off, and must park across the street, consider making two trips across the street. At dismissal time, teachers will NEVER release a child to enter a car that is not parked. We understand that it can be crowded at arrival and dismissal times, butsafety must take precedence over convenience.

Meetings

The return of warmer weather is a welcome reminder of spring, but for LABBB teachers, it brings a different type of season! We will be preparing for, scheduling, and attending end-of the year meetings for many of our students in the next few months. Home visiting schedules may be modified during this busy time. “Neighborhood children (those who attend Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings) will have “end-of-the-year” conferences scheduled in May or June. You will be contacted by your child’s teacher regarding her schedule.

School Pictures

Individual pictures are taken, but you may purchase a composite of your child's class without purchasing an individual package. More information will be coming home soon. Check your child's backpack!
