HOMEWORK AND STUDY CLUB
The Winter Session of our After-School Homework & Study Club for Grades 3-5 will run from January 7th through March 6th. The purpose of the club is to help children develop effective study skills while providing them with the time, structure, and supervision needed to successfully complete their homework at school.  The club will meet three afternoons per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays) from 2:30 until 3:30.  Students may register for either a two-day week or a three-day week.

MATH CLUB
This term, there will be an additional component added to Memorial’s after-school offerings: a Math Club open to 4 & 5 graders. The Club will meet one afternoon a week from 2:30 to 3:30, and run from Tuesday, January 8 through Tuesday, March 4th.  Teachers will work with groups of 6-8 children, focusing on: 1) problem solving strategies; 2) writing and solving word problems; 3) math games to deepen understandings and promote memorization of math facts; 4) practice with strategically solving previously-released MCAS questions.
